POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (PGDM-BA)
Two years Full Time Residential Course
 
The PGDM (BA) is a unique program, which addresses the broader managerial issues in the area of Marketing, Finance & Human Resource Management specialization. The program has been developed and constantly reviewed in the context of the present and future needs of the corporate sector. The program follows six distinctive but inter-related approaches Theoretical studies aimed at improving students understanding of certain fundamental phenomena and relationships underlying the changing world.

Applied studies linking the theoretical studies to the practical problems faced by the managers through case study Practical exposure to industry practices take place through variety of activities like summer training, industrial visits, seminars, exhibitions, etc Global perspective to business by foreign tour, foreign student exchange program, meeting with foreign ambassadors & delegates IT orientation by providing a strong focus on information technology and the linkage with management and management analysis Ethical focus aimed at inculcating in the students an ethical approach in their professional interactions and a sense of personal, corporate and social responsibilities.
Aim
The main academic focus is to create professionals with competencies in general management which drives the corporate world today. Due to its status, the PGDM-BA will be able to retain the cutting edge in quality of education imparted. The course also allows the students to opt for specialization in either marketing, human resources or operations management.
Objective
The basic objective of PGDM (BA) course are:
 
To provide the country a steady stream of competent young men and women with necessary knowledge, skills, values and       attitudes
To occupy positions of management and administration in business, industry, public systems and the government
To impart to students latest and relevant knowledge in the field of HR, Operations, Rural Marketing & Finance, the theories &       practices
To provide opportunity to the participants within and outside institutions, for development necessary managerial skill
To impart /develop the right kind of values and attributes to function effectively in managerial administrative positions
Job Opportunity
Career opportunities are available in various rural areas of marketing, HR and operations management. Students may join sectors of their choice such as manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, textile, finance or process industries. A graduate can join as a trainee and progress to head a particular department. Various opportunities lie in rural marketing, marketing of financial products or financial consultancy, manufacturing, etc.
