India being a member of world trade organization and also with the onset of liberalization process over a decade ago, Indian economy has transformed from a closed protective economy to a open market driven economy .India is poised now for a massive economic growth. GDP is expected to be around 10% by 2010 and Indian dream is to become economic super power by 2020. With this scenario, the business has metamorphosed into global nature, crossing the geographical and political boundaries. Managing of Multinational Corporate having global presence needs special brand of global managers who are groomed to assume the strategic business responsibilities in India as well as abroad.

In order in fulfill the requirements of corporates in vibrant & dynamic global business scenario, Institute of International Business and Research was established in June 1995 by Audyogik Shikshan Mandal Pimpri-Chinchwad, in collaboration with Hochschule University of applied Sciences, Bremen, Germany and Mahratha Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) Pune. His Excellency Dr. P.C.Alexander, the then Governor of Maharatsra state inaugurated this novel venter having a unique purpose on 14th August 1995.

Till date around 3000 students have passed out and are working with these organizations. Some of the students have also started their own business and provided employment to others and have contributed in reducing unemployment

The students of IIBR are placed in Thermax, FSL, ICICI Prudential, HSBC, Bajaj Alliance, Bajaj Tempo, Tata Motors, Ernst & Young and HDFC etc around 10% of the students have been placed in various MNC's globally.

The Institute is now having a sprawling campus at Purna Nagar at Chikhali road, Pune -411019. The institute offers fully residential courses in various fields Two years Post Graduate Diploma Programme in International Business(PGDIB), Two years Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Business Management (PGDBM), Two years Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Information Technology Management (PGDITM). The courses are designed by expert faculties taking into consideration the requirement of Industries. The Institute has expert faculties from wide cross section of Academics and Industry.
