Aim:
The main academic focus is on equipping the participants with an in-depth knowledge of global business and to instill in them an urge to take up competitive global challenges. The course curriculum is so designed that the participants are groomed to take up the challenges of new millennium, which are truly International in nature and not restricted by geographical or political boundaries.


Objective:

The basic objective of PGDIB course is
a. To provide the country a steady stream of competent young men & women with necessary knowledge, skills, values & attitudes to occupy positions of Management and Administration in Business, Industry, Public systems & the Government.
b. To impart to students latest & relevant knowledge in the field of management theory & practices.
c. To provide opportunities to the Participants within & outside institutions, for developing necessary Managerial skills
d. To Impart/Develop the right kind of values and attributes to function effectively in Managerial administrative Position

 


Eligibility
:
Bachelor degree in any faculty of any statutory University

Specialization:
In second year a student shall be examined for a special subject consisting of two unit courses belonging to any one of the following functional area of Management.
Group A - Marketing Management
Group B - Logistics & Supply Chain Management


Teaching Methodology:
IIBR has developed a unique teaching methodology, which is supplemented with short-term teaching in the form of seminars, case studies, intensive workshops, use of Interactive Business Games, Industrial & Port Visits. The approach of the academic activities are informal but at the same time well structured which gives enough scope for free interaction between the faculty and students. This also facilitates cultural exchanges. The teaching is supported by seminars and workshops, guests lectures with the help of eminent faculties available in India as well as from aboard. The academic co-operation and information exchange is achieved through various partners of other countries. Group discussions, case studies, role-playing, management games bring about a variant in the teaching methodology and the monotony of the monologue of the faculty is broken. Taught by faculty with extensive global research and computing experiences, students explore international marketing, finance, management and organizational behavior strategies. Optional study abroad activities, including week-long study trips and semester exchange programs, promote the acquisition of a global business perspective.

Course Curriculum:
The demanding and dynamic curriculum with a global perspective that has been prepared and designed with academic support from various top notch industrialists and academicians to give it a proper blend of class room activities.


Standard of Passing:
Every student must secure 40% marks in both internal & external evaluation.
The grading
There shall be numerical marking for each course. At the time of declaration the result, the marks obtained by a student shall be converted into the grade as shown below

Admission Procedure for MAT/CAT/XAT/NAT/IIFT/ATMA students
Candidates who have appeared for MAT / CAT / XAT / NAT / IIFT / ATMA will be eligible for admission based on their performance in Personal Interview (PI) & written tests on an all India basis. Students who have not appeared for any above Written Test can appear for the written test conducted by the institute along with the Personal Interview (PI) as per the schedules mentioned below:
